There was a man in the Shinsengumi named "Yamanami Keisuke".
He was originally Sendai samurai.
He also had resonance to thought of reverence for the emperor and antiforeigner.
He became ronin.
And he went Edo.　
He was acquainted with Kondo at Kondo's Dojo.
He went to Kyoto with Kondo and they founded the Shinsengumi.

His younger best friend named ”Hijikata Toshizo”.
He was also a farmer of Tama.
By the way Tama was the land under the direct control of King of Tokugawa.
　
"We are farmers for the King of Tokugawa."
