買米

By the way.

There was a system in Sendai clan called "Kaimai". (current Miyagi Prefecture)
Kaimai meaning is rice purchase.

Sendai clan was selling rice of territory at Edo.

Rice which was left in farmers after the annual tribute levied.
Sendai clan bought it from farmers.
And they sold it at Edo along with the annual tribute rice.

This revenue was become an important source of revenue of the Sendai clan.

According to data of Sendai clan's financial of 1819.
Its rice purchase cost was 10,000 ryō for 24,000 koku.

(Incidentally,Kinjiro has been delegated the fiscal consolidation of utsu family.
It was in 1822.)

・・・・・・・・・

In short、1 ryō for 2,4 koku.

If 1 ryō is ¥ 70,000.
Price of 1 koku become about ¥29,000.
This is quite cheaper.

"1 ryō is 1 koku."
Of course、This would be sales price.
This was not wholesale prices.
And Sendai clan was not selling rice directly.
Rice merchant was interposed.
All of them had to make a profit.

Naturally, the first purchase price was necessary to suppress to cheap.

・・・・・・・・・

If Kinjiro parents annual income was 7 koku.

29000×7=¥203,000

By the way,the value of the coins had been fell already.
As result,Price of rice had been went up relatively.

1 ryō is 0,9 koku?
1 ryō is 0,7 koku?
1 ryō is ¥ 65,000?
1 ryō is ¥ 50,000?

I do not know its exact number.
But value of 1 ryō had fallen surely.

¥203,000
Therefore this annual income is lowered further.
